48 per cent of all journeys taken by Irish people are trips abroad.

New figures from Eurostat show that the average length of stay outside the State by Irish people is 4.6 nights.

98.3 per cent of people in Luxembourg travel outside their own small State, while only six per cent of Romanians venture outside their own country.
