Ireland continues to lag behind the rest of Europe when it comes to women in senior management positions.

New figures from Eurostat show that just over one in every four top managers in this country is female.

Grace Bolton is Head of Press with the European Commission representation in Ireland.

She says the figures show that Ireland ranks 14th out of 27 Member States when it comes to the percentage of women holding senior management positions.
