Irish people pay 50 per cent
more than the European average to use their mobile phones and the internet.
Only Belgium and Greece are more expensive while people in Romania pay the
lowest costs.
The figures are contained in a new survey of 27 countries by Eurostat.
Tim Hayes of the EU office in Dublin says Ireland is now the third most
expensive country in Europe for daily digital communications.
