A leading EU official says he doesn't know when daily life will return to normality despite an increase in Covid-19 vaccinations.
The comments were made by Irish man John F. Ryan who heads up the EU Public Health Directorate.
He said the public should ignore dismissive commentary about vaccinations as they have prevented many multiple diseases since childhood.
John F. Ryan says emerging variants of the virus are hindering progress in eradicating Covid 19.
