Eight out of ten Irish online shoppers now buy “green” products even if it costs more.

An EU Commission survey of online shopping habits during last year’s COVID pandemic has revealed that 79% of Irish consumers bought environmentally-friendly products as much as they could.

The Irish figure way exceeds the EU average of 67 per cent.

Tim Hayes of the European Commission says Irish online shoppers are upholding our reputation as a 'green' nation.
